Customers Reviews 2010-03-17 Price You cannot go wrong for this price. Any downsides to these when compared to more expensive protectors are easily justified for the fact that they are so cheap. If one gets scratched just peel it off, make sure your screen has no lint, and slap another one on. They are cut perfectly and are very ease to apply if you squeeze the sides to make it bow down in the center then slowly let it down for no air bubbles. They are glossy so they wipe off easily but at the same time provide no grip if you need to hold your ear to your shoulder. The only small downside is that they need to be replaced about every 2-3 months due to scratches (I keep mine in my pocket with no other items such as keys) | 2010-03-15 A great example of what you would hope more sellers would be One awesome seller. When I first received the product, there was an issue with the earhole not being cut out. With such a low cost of the product I just trashed it and wrote it off, but when I was asked to write a review I voiced my displeasure with the product. As soon as (less than 24 hours) the seller seen my response the rushed me another product arriving in less than 48 hours. This had to cost them twice what the product was worth. Good to see their interest was in customer satisfaction, a well preached but not practiced thing in todays retail market. I Highly recommend and will soon use them again. | 2010-03-14 For iPhones Without Covers The quality of the product is very good. It comes with a cleaning cloth (useful) and a small plastic card (useless) for getting the air bubbles out. The item ships without any instructions (a little odd) and in a plain, small, white envelope with $0.44 postage. The price is excellent although they make up for it with an inflated shipping charge.
The installation is straight forward (even without instructions) and has been described well by others. What worked well for me was laying the iPhone sideways and sticking the film at one end where the iPhone's round button makes it easy to align, and then laying the film down gradually as you use a finger to press the film down about 1/2" per pass. If you have to remove the film, it leaves no residue.
Where you run into a problem is when you finally reinstall your iPhone cover. I have 2 iPhones with covers, one is made by Griffin, the other by Incase. With both cases, as they are re-installed by sliding them on the iPhone, the covers will lift the installed protective film at the top of the iPhone, creating big air bubbles. This can be overcome by trimming the film while on the phone with an x-acto knife using the case's edge as a template, but this is somewhat tricky to do.
Also plan on losing one or two of these films for practice runs. Once you peel the film on one side, it becomes a magnet for any dust on your work surface. Plan to make a 100% dust free area by using compressed air to blow away dust on your iPhone and the desktop. One little speck of dust on the sticky side of the film will create an air bubble that will be impossible to eliminate.
Good luck! | 2010-03-12 Good Bye Zagg. Well, when i got my iPhone in june of 2009, i had bought a Zagg invisibal shield. and it was great, never had a problem with it, and to this day, i love zagg, the only thing that made me turn away was the price. anyway after nearly a year of having the same screen protector from Zagg, my iPhone got a dead pixel, so still being under Apple Care, i filed a product replacement case. so i sent off my iPhone. and got a Brand New iPhone. so i had to get a new screen protector. im pretty broke at the moment so i found these cheap things on amazon and ordered them, let me tell you what, i love these things, i also (like some reviewers) watched a great video on youtube on how to apply these, i got it right the first time and have absolutly no air bubbles, no rainbow effect or anything. i love them!!! i deffently recomend these! | 2010-03-12 Awesome for the price! Just make sure ALL dust is swept from your iphone or it will create bubbles when you apply the screen. But this product is great (especially for the price), but you do need some patience and TLC when applying it. Two thumbs up and at this price the product can NOT be beat (not that I tried other products, but I'm happy with this one). :-) |
