Product Description Blackberry OEM Lambskin Leather Holster with Swivel Belt Clip - Pitch Black - for Blackberry 8130 |
Customers Reviews 2008-11-21 Nice Holster! I own a Blackberry Pearl 8130 and it fits in this holster nicely. Its snug and does not move around in there at all. The magnetic flap is suprisingly strong but even without it, the phone still would not fall out if held upside down. It does swivel and it snaps into place at three different locations depending on how you like to wear it. I feel secure with my new investment in this and you should too! Oh yea, the leather smells great and is very soft! | 2008-11-11 Good quality Good quality however did not fit my Nokia N82. I gave it to a friend who had a blackberry 8110 and it was a very tight fit. | 2008-11-06 Very good, but sometimes uncomfortable I appreciate every aspect of this holster (beautiful, tough, ease of use) if not the rather long clip, which is sometimes uncomfortable to wear. I use the holster horizontally, and when I sit, leaning forward, the top end of the clip would tend to hurt me a bit. Even though I don't have any belly...
| 2008-10-18 The best case for my 8130 BACKGROUND
My sleek new Blackberry Pearl came with an OEM case that left a lot to be desired. The OEM case was simply an inexpensive pouch. Coming from a Blackberry 8703, I was accustomed to nice aftermarket leather holsters. I was hoping that this holster would bring a similar style and convenience to my Pearl.
EXPECTATIONS
[1] Securely hold my 8130 when not in use
[2] Easily release my 8130 when I needed it
[3] Swivel on the belt
[4] Protect my 8130 screen when not in use
RESULTS
[1] The holster has a leather flap with a small magnet in the end. The flap folds over the Pearl and will generally keep within the holster should the holster be turned upside down. The magnet also serves to place the Pearl in sleep mode.
[2] It is easy to lift the flap and pull out the Pearl. I do it with one hand and a smooth continuous motion.
[3] Yes, the swivel is there. If you are wearing a sports coat or sitting in a smaller chair, you can easily swivel the holster on your belt so that it better fits your sitting angle.
[4] The interior of the holster is lined with felt and thus it protects the Pearl screen.
AFTERTHOUGHTS
I love this holster. The leather is sooooooo soft and the price point makes it easy to purchase several of these to have in the car, work office, home office, etc. I did have the exact same occurence as one of the other reviewers. I was seated and having a discussion. When I rose, the case was caught by the arm rest and pulled from the belt swivel. Also like the other reviewer, I used a glue, actually it was an epoxy, to reattach the holster to the belt clip. This event was prior to me purchasing several as backups. I no longer use the repair holster but I occasionally see it and it is still firmly attached to the belt clip.
SUMMARY
I am 100% satisfied with this item. It looks great, is very soft to touch, securely holds the Pearl, protects the Pearl's screen, and makes it convenient to keep your Pearl with you. Unlike some of the holsters for the larger Blackberrys, I hardly notice that I am wearing this holster. I wholeheartedly recommend this item. | 2008-07-29 Very Nice This is a very nice case for the BlackBerry Pearl. It is all it is supposed to be. |

Quicken for iPhone: Top 10 Options the Next iPhone Should HaveOuriel Ohayon has come up with a list of 9 things which are simply necessary to be on the upcoming iPhone. Here you are:
1. Copy/paste
The device should have a real feature but now a fake as the one it has now
2. Training tour
When you take your new iPhone in your hands you should be taught how to use it. At the moment there is no specially designed application which can show you the major capabilities of the device
3. Auto Complete Dial Mode
The thing is that when you want to call a person you have to go to the contact list and then choose the name with the phone number. A better solution is the one which is used in Blackberry and which is called auto complete
4. Wireless PC synchronization
The current version of iPhone doesn’t have this option. Some application enable consultation with the data, but none of them give you a chance to use it. Such a feature is a real must.
5. Easy backup solution
At the moment there are dozens of complicated apps that help you back your phone up. Some of them require being online. What is needed is a direct iPhone option that will enable you to backup your device offline.
6. Desktop Search option
Having quite an extensive hard memory such an option would be very useful. File search by type, date and size seems to be an obvious thing iPhone should posses.
7. Esay delete function
It is quite shocking that a gadget so advanced should not have delete function for all files. While emails and videos are easy to delete, other huge files, like for instance, audio podcasts cannot be deleted directly from iPhone without attaching it to a PC.
8. Single login for Youtube and iTunes
The thing about iPhone is that having access to a great number of web application and services you have to login each time over and over again. There is no history in iPhone.
9. True Bluetooth
File transfer should be included into Bluetooth option. At the moment iPhone’s Bluetooth can be used for Headset and file transfer is not enabled. Bluetooth should be a full-quality one.
Pleasant bonuses:
- Specified keyboard for email (that will automatically add “@” and “.com”)
- Hard disk mode: like the one in iPod
- Extensive call history
