Nice headset
This is my second bluetooth headset. My first the Motorola H700, went through the washing machine. So that was the end of that one. The replacement H710 is a far better headset. Where the H700 had good days and bad days. During the good days I could set my phone down and walk 20 feet away with clear reception and then other days I would have to hold the phone a few inches away from the head set (which defeats the purpose of the thing) to prevent a very static riddled conversation. The H710 always works, is always clear, the folks on the other end have never complained. So, as far as sound quality and performance the H710 gets 5 stars.
Now for the thing I do not like. The H700 uses the mini USB connector to charge the headset. This is great because I can charge it at work or home with a the same cable I use to transfer pictures from my camera. The H710 appears to have a new proprietary connector/charger which means when it runs out of battery, it will not get charged until I get home. that is to bad.

I use this headset with an iPhone 1.0 8GB

Motorola h710
I have tried six different bluetooth headsets from four manufactures (Motorola, Jawbone, Plantronics, Samsung). This is my favorite. Very comfortable, good battery life, reliable paring, very clear reception and transmittal, best on/off of any bluetooth. I also have H700 but feel H710 is an improvement.

Who needs yet another charger?
I bought this device b/c I find that the "folding" feature of the prior 700 was great for knowing that you've turned on,or off, the device. (A problem with a lot of other headsets.) And b/c I thought that I'd be able to use the same USB charger as my Blackberry. But, as it turns out, the charger "input" for the 710 is a little bit different. Different enough so that you've got to use a different charger. Now, who wants to have to carry around another charger - and also find that you can't use the same car charger for the headset as you do for your phone. All in all, a stoopid design flaw in this headset. After I got it and found this out, I went to my local Fry's and bought the very last 700 series that was available.

As to the quality of the "sound", again, this headset is not as good as the 700 that it replaced. Folks were always saying, "I can't hear you."

All I can say is I think this one is a real pass.

Consistently Excellent
This line of headsets from Motorola just keeps on delivering. This is the third in a series of this style I've owned and they are well built, comfortable on the ear, hold a charge a long time, easy on/off via the fold out 'boom', and incredibly easy to set up -- all around, they just work perfectly.
