Works great not durable
This was the best bluetooth I used until it stopped working. The voice isolation worked as advertised and worked seamlessly with my pocket PC. However the product is not durable. I had the product three days when it fell from a shirt pocket to a padded couch. After that the headset quit working, producing static in place of my phone calls. It is going back to the store.

A Good Piece
I have had this product for a few weeks and I'm atonish of what it can do. Like the fact that I upgraded the piece for a later version. and the short time it needs to recharge. Oh especially the extra Ear pieces that came with it. Now that is what tip the iceBurg. My old ear pieces ear part will break and that's it. but now i have extra pieces. oh need i say that the piece as a shirt clip that you can put it away when not in use....Yep. Damn I love this Bluetooth earpiece.

Pass up your chance on the Z9
I've had this headset for 7-8 months, and overall found it infuriating to use. The sound quality on my end was fine--people I was talking to couldn't hear me due to high level of background noise. They complained of echoes in the sound. Probably the worse aspect of the Z9 was the difficulty I had in keeping the headset on. It fell out of my ear several times, and fell apart in my hands more than once. I always managed to put it back together, but when a Motorola bluetooth came on sale a month ago at a good price, I bought one and haven't used the Z9 since. Haven't had a problem with the Motorola at all, even though it was considerably cheaper and very likely older technology.

Good headset, bad earpiece
I have had my Z9 for about 8 months now. It is extremely easy to use and the voice isolation is adequate for most noisy situations. The reason for my posting is in regards to the design, I am extremely unimpressed with the Z9's earpiece. In 8 months, I have gone through 3 earpieces. I do not store my Z9 in my pocket or in extreme temperatures, but each time, within a matter of about 7-9 weeks, the rubber earpiece rips off. As stated in another review, the earpiece seems to be on backorder in most places. Moreover, at 9.99 per piece, you may quickly find that you spend more on replacement parts than on the Z9 itself. You may want to take steps to ensure that the earpiece is handled very delicately to prevent ripping. Otherwise, this would be a near-perfect headset.

Good at first, but fell apart over time. poor customer service
I got the Z9 earlier this year. I did a lot of research and it appeared to be the best one out there at any price. The performance has seemed to be good, battery life is good, it's light, small and about as comfortable, even without the ear hook, and aesthetic as you can get for something stuck in your ear. The sound quality on my end has always been good (after the firmware upgrade) and seldom did I ever have to use the higher level of noise cancellation. Updating the firmware was a real pain, but was worth it in terms of performance improvement, and it beats having to buying a new headset every couple of months like most other BT headsets.

Now fast forward 4-5 months. The earpiece has a rubber cushion that disintegrates after 3-5 months of occasional use. the thing cust falls out of your ear now. I checked some other review sights and it seems to be a common problem. When I checked BlueAnts web site trying to find replacements, I found that they wanted $10.00 plus shipping each! Every 3-5 months? But no worry, I can save my money because they have been out of stock for months and have no idea when they (BlueAnt) will get more in. The also say that the earpiece is not under the warranty, even though the the warranty does not exclude it. A reputable company would recall a clearly defective unit, or at least offer free or reduced priced replacement parts until a proper fix is worked out. These guys take it as an opportunity for another profit stream. If you really like the electronics, I heard that some of the Jabra eargel configurations may work on the Z9. [...]
