Cheap look and feel
On the plus side, this kit is inexpensive. But you get what you pay for. This is a cheap case/clip ... both pieces feel flimsy. The rubber case is awkward to get in and out of the clip, which sits too high and digs into your side. Very uncomfortable. Doesn't do justice to the quality of the iPhone. If you want to impress and be comfortable, look elsewhere.

Great product
This product is exactly what I expected and needed. It's very protective of the iPhone. If I mistakenly drop the phone, the case absorbs the impact. The design matches with the iphone, which makes it really neat looking.

Fits the 3G, but doesn't work with 3G
Based on a previous reviewer here who indicated that this would fit the iPhone 3G, I took a flyer and bought it.
This Speck case does fit the iPhone 3G OK.
But, and this is a big BUT, it interferes with proper operation of the 3G. The design of the case blocks the ambient light sensor at the top-left corner of the front panel, so every time you unlock the 3G it thinks it is in a dark room. Hence, it dims the backlight (assuming the Auto-brightness feature is enabled).
Worse, the case prevents the 'phone at face' feature from working. The iPhone 3G is designed to deactivate the touch-screen and blank the display when you are (a) on a call and (b) holding it next to your ear. This clever feature prevents the side of your face from inadvertently activating the various features (Keypad, Mute, Contacts, etc) that are available while on a call. And by deactivating the backlight, battery life is extended.
The Speck IPH-BLK-TS effectively disables these features. But it is a nice case, and good value now that the price has been reduced. I am going to try punching a 1/4" hole at the top-left corner to see if I can restore full operation of the sensors on the 3G.

only one bad thing
very good when it comes to protecting the phone. Adds great grip and all the buttons presses work good. The holster is convient, it is the reason I bought this product, I wanted a good soft case that would lock into a holster but would also work great without it, and the holster turns into a stand... That's just cool. The only thing I don't like about this case is that it covers up the sensors to left of the earpiece (proximity and ambient light) the ambient light I don't even notice but the proimity is neccesary, with it not functional I hang up on people, mute them, or but them on speaker. If you use the bluetooth or the corded headset though you won't even notice that. You can literaly drop the phone with this case on it and it will be perfectly fine, I have tested this.

Great Case - Works fine with 3G model
When I took my new Iphone out of the box, I was immediatly in fear of destroying it. I am not exactly gentle with my phone, I always have it with me.
Speck makes great cases and this one is a fine example of the quality I have come to expect from them over the years.
The belt clip is a little wonky, but makes a great stand. I actually lost the clip before I was able to break it.
