Customers Reviews 2010-08-24 Good performing micro bluetooth, BUT.... I'll start off by saying that I bought this bluetooth headset because I am a loyal Samsung customer. My LCD TV's, blueray players, and past few cell phones have been Samsungs. I've always been impressed with the performance of their products... until now.
I paired my new WEP200 with an AT&T Samsung Solstice touchscreen phone. Fitment is good and I am able to use the headset without the supplied arm. Speaker volume is good too. The ultimate test was using it on the highway - I talk on the phone A LOT when I'm on my daily commute to and from work. Having a Bluetooth headset with a high volume and one that can drown own highway noise to the people on the other end of my calls was very important to me. While the people I've talked to on the phone tell me the background noise isn't too bad, I am very disappointed with the speaker quality of the headset. When it's active during a call, I can hear a slight high pitched buzzing that bothers my hearing after 10-15minutes. While voices sound loud, they also sound very metallic and very flat.
My previous (and still functioning) bluetooth headset was a free Jabra giveaway one that Verizon Wireless gave me almost 6 years ago. People complained of significant background noise, but the sound quality is awesome on that headset!
| 2010-08-10 Does not work with my HTC Touch Pro 2 I bought my bluetooth about a year ago and worked flawlessly with the LG En V Touch I had before. It does not work with my HTC Touch Pro 2 though. I called Samsung, and they could not tell me whether it was a compatibility issue with the phone or not. I have read this bluetooth is compatible with most smart phones, including mine. They may have been wrong, since the phone does not even recognize the bluetooth when it is searching for devices. The description here states that is compatible with other non-Sanmsung bluetooth enabled phones, but maybe mine is just not included on those. Maybe I should give HTC a call about this compatibility issue as well. It is a very good device though! I highly recommend it! | 2010-06-02 Worth every penny. I've had the unit for 2 years and it's still going strong.
I mostly use it with my PlayStation 3. Synced to my Samsung phone, Iphone, and ps3 without a hitch.
Pros:
Light weight.
Very easy to use.
Good sound quality - Transmitting and Receiving.
Perfect size.
Talk time seems to be longer than advertised. I've used for 6 hours
Cons:
Fit may vary depending on your ear size (to be expected with all headsets)
Range is a little short. (Will cause distortion if out of range obviously)
Over-the-ear piece can be easily broken, even with cautious placement.
Summary: It's a great device. The only problem I have had is the over-the-ear
piece breaking. Easy to solve though, $2 replacements on eBay.
Final thought: I bought the Samsung WEP200 for $20 and I haven't regretted it.
| 2010-06-01 Love it! I had one of these and my dog got hold of it, I bought another one just like it to replace it. I love the size, it sounds great and I couldn't be happier with it. I highly recommend this to anyone! | 2010-05-22 Bluetooth Sucks Just use your phone. You can't answer your phone normally when using this headset and it gets annoying to keep it in your ear all the time. Plus people think your talking to them when your not which is just dumb. Stop being lazy and pick up your phone, don't be like me and annoy people every time you talk on your phone. |
