About Disney Mobile
As has been already mentioned before, Disney Mobile was closed. The entertainment giant had introduced the service of controlling the youngsters. The customers were given special mobile phones for children filled with brand-content and the possibility of limiting the usage and defining the location of the phone. It seemed to be a great solution for the parent who are worried about their children.
But the company faced a great number of difficulties. The expenses for the growth of the service and its advertising significantly overtook the planned budget.
The sales of the phones has already been stopped, and the service of the sold devices will last till the end of the year. The number of the service’s users hasn’t been estimated, but anyway they will have to look for the alternative solutions. The closure of the service will leave 120 employees out of work. The company are trying to find work for them in the other subdivisions but they might be out of work constantly.
