More 3G iPhone Rumor
They say that Apple has ordered 10 Million 3G iPhones. To tell you the truth, I wouldn’t believe the source, but it is, of course, not the real point of this particular entry.
It is a common knowledge that Apple is heading for a 3G iPhone and it is also widely knows that this phone is very soon to arrive. It is not quite obvious when, but that it will is not under doubt. But yet there is at least one question. Which one?
Are people going to upgrade their current iPhones to new ones?
In fact, there are still certain areas where 3G support is disabled. It is obvious that to add 3G support is not enough for a great number of people to make them motivated to buy a new device. Of course, AT&T is doing its best to expand the 3G network support all over the country and it is now just a matter of time when the whole country is covered, but at the moment it is only available in a few selected markets in the USA.
I am sure that Apple is quite aware of the fact and the only things I would like to know is whether there is something else in the gadget that will attract the customers?
They say that Apple might apply OLED technology to the display thus make the phone thinner. But again, can this increase the motivation of the potential owners? To tell you the truth, I’m not motivated to buy a new iPhone based on the rumor which is here now. There’s a rumor that the new iPhone will have an additional camera, but for me that doesn’t heat up the demand at all. Of course, maybe after purchasing the device and trying this new feature I will change my mind, but right now I find it useless.
Are there any real advantages of 3G network? You know, if I find out that the speed is 10 times faster then the current Edge speed, I might consider a possibility of acquiring the new iPhone. But at the same time what I can say is that the idea of a thinner device really appalls me.
Another question that puzzled my mind is whether Apple is really planning to sell another 10 million iPhones with so many of the devices having been just sold. It seems to me that just about each third person now has an iPhone. Do they really think that these 1/3 of the people will want to upgrade their devices right after the purchase or those 2/3 will definitely want to buy an iPhone? To my mind the demand on iPhone cannot be that high!
And what do YOU think about all that?

What is the difference between Wi-Fi and EDGE?
Wi-Fi
1 Â It is faster than EDGE, but on a certain territory (not far from another Wi-Fi appliance, PC for ex.). There are also Wi- Fi hot spots (special places where Wi-Fi service is available).
The strength of the signal you can see on the Wi-Fi icon
2 To find any network choose Settings > Wi-Fi
3 Many of the Wi-Fi hot spots are free of charge. Use Safari to sign up for service
EDGE
1 functions only in the local carrier’s network coverage in the area you live.
If it is on you can see the EDGE icon on the top of the screen.
Use roaming charges if you are out of your network.
2 While you are using EDGE you can’t receive incoming calls!
Now the difference is clear and you know that the problem is in the iPhone.
Symptom
- The Wi-Fi icon is on but still you can’t surf the Internet.
- You tap Settings > Wi-Fi … but nothing happens. No IP Address or Subnet Mask.
- Your iPhone has nothing like Wi-Fi address.
Why it has happened?
Don’t get nervous! It might happened while the installation Wi-Fi address was not registered.
So the iPhone has no IP Address of its own.
Solution
Firstly
Try to find IP Address by taping Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings. Than Settings > General > About find Wi-Fi Address. If there is an IP Address so receive my congratulations. If not see the chapter below.
Secondly
- Reinstall software (in this case you will lose all your iTunes).
- After instillation, adjust previous settings as they used to be before (mail, messages, Internet, favourites).
- Now try again to find an IP Address Settings > General > About> Wi-Fi Address
Now I hope your problem is solved. If again not..Thirdly
It needs repairing. And in a special center Apple retail store or ask for technical support iPhone Service FAQ
I wish you all the best and never have any problems of this kind!
Professional or Pro Tools on your iPhone: What is coming up soon? General review

s it possible to use Professional Tools (or so called ProTools) on iPhone? The Apple is likely to think about that. Take into consideration last year. It was a lot of researches in further development of the device and the company does really takes an interest in it. Remember, that not all experimental ideas will become common products!
Now I’m sure, the dream of iPhone owners will soon become true. A very experienced programmer (called Alex) is going to perform new Pro Tools made for iPhone.
The remote is real. I plan to sell it if Apple lets me once they certify my code. I assume that will happen after they release they native software SDK in February.
To put technical things in simpler words the software is divided into three pieces:
1 the basic software on the iPhone.
2 the server or the brains.
3 the MIDI driver. It communicates with ProTools.

So here in this article we are speaking about the second level and some programs that were adapted to the special technical iPhone possibilities.
Surely on the Pro tools on the iPhone are of a low performance, but the idea is to have a local access to the server. Sever programs are suitable for any device (depends only on the machine’s possibilities and your wish). Here the thing is that Pro Tools will reduce any iPhone latency which will help you to escape from any program or user’s problems in the future.
It was proved that it is possible to control your PC or any rig with iPhone from anywhere that has Internet or EGDE. The point is that it is not a standard MIDI. The ProRemote protocol was made for Wi-Fi.
Nevertheless, I’m quite optimistic about the future of the Pro Tools of any kind and iPhone further hardware and software integration will continue.
Make music on Pro Tools iPhone controler and be ready for new experience.

Ouriel Ohayon has come up with a list of 9 things which are simply necessary to be on the upcoming iPhone. Here you are:
1. Copy/paste
The device should have a real feature but now a fake as the one it has now
2. Training tour
When you take your new iPhone in your hands you should be taught how to use it. At the moment there is no specially designed application which can show you the major capabilities of the device
3. Auto Complete Dial Mode
The thing is that when you want to call a person you have to go to the contact list and then choose the name with the phone number. A better solution is the one which is used in Blackberry and which is called auto complete
4. Wireless PC synchronization
The current version of iPhone doesn’t have this option. Some application enable consultation with the data, but none of them give you a chance to use it. Such a feature is a real must.
5. Easy backup solution
At the moment there are dozens of complicated apps that help you back your phone up. Some of them require being online. What is needed is a direct iPhone option that will enable you to backup your device offline.
6. Desktop Search option
Having quite an extensive hard memory such an option would be very useful. File search by type, date and size seems to be an obvious thing iPhone should posses.
7. Esay delete function
It is quite shocking that a gadget so advanced should not have delete function for all files. While emails and videos are easy to delete, other huge files, like for instance, audio podcasts cannot be deleted directly from iPhone without attaching it to a PC.
8. Single login for Youtube and iTunes
The thing about iPhone is that having access to a great number of web application and services you have to login each time over and over again. There is no history in iPhone.
9. True Bluetooth
File transfer should be included into Bluetooth option. At the moment iPhone’s Bluetooth can be used for Headset and file transfer is not enabled. Bluetooth should be a full-quality one.
Pleasant bonuses:
- Specified keyboard for email (that will automatically add “@” and “.com”)
- Hard disk mode: like the one in iPod
- Extensive call history
